DC WRITERS' SALON

Writing About Writing

In the two years since the first DC Writers' Salon meeting, we've had hundreds of post Salon round robins during which more than 700 writers have shared reflections and insights about their process.

As we approach the one year anniversary of opening the Salon home in Dupont Circle - a space dedicated to supporting writers in making words and meaning and finding community and connection - we are launching a project to capture these insights.

We invite you to submit 100 to 300 words about what you've learned about your writing process. It could be what works or what doesn't, or what's inspirational and keeps you going. Submit any reflections on your process that you want to share with others, including quotes or paraphrases from other writers whom you admire.

Here's the fine print:
  • Please submit your words in the form here by August 15th.
  • Please share this invitation freely with any writers you like.
  • We're going to have a beautifully designed PDF to share with everyone.
  • Who knows, maybe we'll even print hard copies.

Questions or comments: email us at hello at dcwriterssalon.com. Thanks in advance for helping to make this a terrific collection of wisdom.
