Affinity Circles
We often hear from members a desire to connect with fellow writers in their genre. It can be so helpful to discuss writing pickles, exchange resources and know-how, and trade work for feedback. Affinity circles are topical gatherings to help facilitate this kind of connection. Here's how they work:
And, of course, folks can use the Salon as a meeting spot outside the organized dates. Just pop us a note and we can give you access and support. If you're interested in participating in a circle, you can just show up on the date and stay tuned for resources shared and other circle updates, including how to submit for feedback exchange, via the Salon member Google group.
- Circles meet on Wednesdays from 8 - 9:30pm
- Right now, we have four genre circles, but we're happy to add more by request
- Each has two dates on the calendar every quarter - one for exchanging feedback, one for discussing process
- Discussions are wide open to participants' needs so bring your questions, ideas, etc.

For feedback, the folder will be shared via the Google group one week in advance for you to submit in PDF form up to 2,500 words (or 500 words for poetry). Participants will read each other's work prior to gathering. |
