About Project Group
(formerly Finishers' Group)
Most of us writers have a collection of projects in various stages. Being a creative Renaissance person is fun, but it can make getting across the finish line - to completing, sharing, publishing, posting, whatever your aspiration - a bit harder.
That's what Project Group is about. It's a group of writers who meet at the same day and time for a quarter and commit to (mostly) working on a single project. We still write together, as we do at regular Salons, but with a boost of accountability and camaraderie, and with opportunities for feedback.
Groups meet Mondays at 8pm and a new time, Saturdays at 8:30am. You can pick one or float between them, and you certainly don’t have to attend all dates, since life happens, but great if you can.
Participation in the group is open to those with Project memberships. We kick off anew each season and you can join by simply showing up in the first few weeks (or if you're new to the Salon, it's ok to jump in in the middle!)

- Rather than sporadic days, we meet consistently on the same day and time.
- It's a closed group so we get to know each other and each other's work.
- We have two optional group feedback sessions in the quarter: one midway and one at the end.
- Access to a developmental editor in craft talks and for one-on-one review of your work.
