DC WRITERS' SALON

Member-Led Fridays

Borrowing from the Hash House Harriers famously known as a "drinking club with a running problem," the Salon could be described as a social club with a writing problem. Many of us like the connecting and chit chat as much as we do the accountability and encouragement to write.

We're all for it! Introducing member-led Fridays, an opportunity for informal member gatherings and an invitation to take advantage of the Salon space for events. So far, we've had movie night, karaoke, game night, and comedy shows, but creativity is encouraged. How it works:

  • Any member can propose any event for any Friday night
  • We'll coordinate with you to help think through needs, logistics, and communication
  • We'll add to the Salon calendar and share with the community
  • Then, you take it away

If you're a member interested in hosting a Friday evening at the Salon, send us an email at hello at dcwriterssalon.com and let us know what you have in mind along with a few dates that you'd like to host (ideally at least a few weeks away). And feel free to borrow from our list of ideas!
