Much has been said about habit chains and many writers swear by them. They're simple but surprisingly effective.

Here's the scoop: Every day you sit down to write, whether five minutes or five hours, you get credit. The idea is to focus more on the process and less on the outcome.

One way to give yourself a pat on the back for showing up is by keeping track on paper. This could be an X on each calendar day or a sticker on a gold star chart. Trust us: S
tickers work as well for adults as they do for kiddos.

If you want to give it a try, share your info below and we'll get some gold stars in the mail to you for a little nudge and postal surprise.

Of course, the only thing we'll use this for is mailing you stickers and writing-related encouragement.
