Feedback Fridays
We're often asked about opportunities for feedback and we reply with some version of, "you can't learn to swim by reading," that is if you want to learn to write, you gotta write. But of course, peer feedback, when integrated into the practice of writing, can be validating, course correcting, and motivating.
So we're going back to our roots with Feedback Fridays, a hybrid social with a feedback discussion. Here's how they work:
Feedback Fridays are once per quarter. The next date is Friday, June 24th from 7 - 9pm. All members welcome, no need to sign up, just show up with your words. We'll share some helpful feedback guidelines and adjust group size and timing as needed.
So we're going back to our roots with Feedback Fridays, a hybrid social with a feedback discussion. Here's how they work:
- Bring up to 2,500 words to share either in PDF form or three printed copies
- At 7pm, we'll put folks into groups of 4, ideally based on genre
- For the first hour together, folks will read what their group members have shared
- At 8pm, groups will break off and each member of the group will get 12 minutes to hear feedback

If you're a planner, the Fall quarter Feedback Friday will be September 16th.
And we'll make this more frequent if there's a good bit of interest.
